Ephelis - Salad & Fruit Bowl

Enameled steel bowl. Serially produced, unique pieces.

Like freckles, delicate dots scatter across the Ephelis bowl, bringing a colourful bouquet to the table. Its generous shape makes it ideal for elegantly presenting salads and fruits. Formed in a metal spinning workshop, the steel is then enameled in the Black Forest; there, the series is carefully speckled by the Atelier Volvox, making each bowl unique.

Enamel is a glass-like substance that forms a protective layer over the metal at high temperatures, preventing corrosion. This allows steel to be used in a variety of ways, not only for precious objects like boxes and jewelry, as was traditionally the case, but also for everyday items. Moving beyond the nostalgic look of enamelware, the Ephelis bowls play with unexpected elements in a refreshing way.
