The Baba Tree Basket Co. specializes in supplying unique, hand woven African baskets that are beautiful and functional. Made from all natural materials and woven in Bolga by Baba Tree's incredible artisan weavers, these unique African Baskets add a touch of style to any space in your home or office.

The most beautiful storage solutions you’ll ever come across - our Pakurigo Wave baskets are named after the two men who created this signature technique. Created in an interwoven effort by the enormous talents that are Palash Singh and our very own Master Weaver Mr John Akurigo, during a field trip to Ahmedabad, India in 2013. When 20 Baba Tree Weavers were invited by the Indian Government to visit and collaborate with local weavers at The National Institute of Design.

Taught to many of the artisans here, this very special technique provides a Fair Trade in Lomé to many.. now that’s what we call a ripple effect!

Our weavers are paid well for rendering this basket, they will receive an additional 10% of the retail price as a commission.
